ideal boiler prices

Ideal is known for manufacturing a range of high-quality combi, system and heat only boilers, including award-winning solutions and Good Housekeeping reader recommended models.

Made in the UK, these appliances are popular among consumers across the country as they suit different needs and budgets. Plus, each and every boiler on offer has an A rating for efficiency, meaning they can reduce your carbon emission and save you money on your energy bills.

About Ideal

Having spent over 100 years producing reliable boilers, Ideal is clearly doing something right. The brand is committed to providing a competitively priced product range that benefits from high-efficiency technologies and meets the ever-changing heating and hot water needs of customers in the United Kingdom.

Ideal continually works to improve its products, from combi, system and regular gas boilers to a variety of optional controls and stainless steel cylinders. The company also enjoys setting new standards by pushing boundaries and aims to always design boilers of impressive quality and value.

Ideal Combi Boiler Prices Range Between £625.36 and £1,409.28 and Award Winning Options are Available

Many homeowners opt for combi (combination) boilers because they don’t need a separate cold water tank or hot water cylinder, making them a great option for properties with limited loft and storage space. When it comes to Ideal’s combi boilers, each model is energy efficient and features built-in frost protection, with some units small enough to fit inside a standard-sized kitchen cupboard.

The Logic Combi and Logic+ Combi both received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2013 and, along with the Vogue Combi, achieved Good Housekeeping reader recommended status. This should tell you something about the quality and reliability of all three of these models.

Ideal’s Vogue Max Combi and Logic Max Combi are NOx Class 5 boilers and come with generous 10-year warranties. You also have the option of the Independent Combi, which has a built-in 24-hour mechanical timer to enable you to customise your heating on and off times.

These boilers come in many outputs from 24kW to 40kW and are priced on average between £625.36 and £1,409.28, depending on the required model and output. Warranty lengths vary across models as well, from 2 to 10 years.

Ideal System Boiler Prices Range Between £777.86 to £1,209.27  and are Tested and Recommended by Homeowners

Five unique models make up the Ideal system boiler range, all of which require a cylinder for storing your hot water (but not a cold water tank). Like with the combi boilers, some system models are Good Housekeeping reader recommended, such as the Logic System, Logic+ System and Vogue System. And because they’re system boilers, most of the components are built into the units, making installation and servicing less disruptive.

Other models include the Logic Max System with 22mm brass system filter and service timer with phone number display to remind you when your annual service is due. Then there’s the Vogue Max System that has the same two features we just mentioned as well as multi-function buttons for ease of use. We should also say that all system boilers are suited to homes with multiple bathrooms.

These boilers are available in a variety of outputs from 15kW to 32kW, with some models offering more options than others. Price tags for each model differ as well, starting from around £777.86 and reaching £1,209.27.

Otherwise known as regular, traditional or conventional boilers, Ideal heat only boilers are an excellent choice for replacing old wall-mounted or floor-standing boilers in homes that have a traditional system that include separate tanks and a hot water storage cylinder. They’re also perfect for properties where a lot of hot water is used at the same time.

With outputs as low as 12kW and as high as 36kW, Ideal offers a solution to suit most homes. They all have a clear digital display and most feature compact dimensions so that they can be installed virtually anywhere. The Logic Heat and Logic+ Heat boast the Good Housekeeping reader recommended logo and are considered extremely environmentally friendly. You also have the feature-rich Logic Max Heat with a whopping 10-year warranty, plus the Mexico HE which is the only floor-standing model in the range.

Again, the amount you will need to spend will depend on your chosen model and output, with prices ranging from £724.34 to £2,780.56.

Ideal Boiler Problems and Repairs

Having won a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation and the Good Housekeeping Reader Recommended Award, Ideal sure knows how to manufacture reliable and energy efficient boilers. This doesn’t mean Ideal boilers can’t develop faults, though. Any boiler can run into trouble, regardless of brand and build quality. You can find out what the most common problems are and what to do about them in our Ideal boiler repairs guide.

Ideal Boiler Fault Codes

All modern boilers display a fault code when they need to alert their owner that something is wrong, and Ideal boilers are no exception. Each brand uses different codes for different problems, meaning Ideal boilers will have their own unique codes for specific errors and issues. We’ve written a guide to Ideal boiler fault codes to make it easy for you to find the information you need when a fault code appears.

Ideal Optional Boiler Controls

In addition to manufacturing boilers, Ideal produce a range of optional controls and accessories to work with their current boiler models. There are lots of Ideal optional boiler controls to choose between, from electronic and mechanical heating controls to app-controlled thermostats. You can read our guide to Ideal optional boiler controls to learn more about each product and to find out which controls can help to make your boiler more energy efficient.

Always Compare Ideal Boiler Prices and Installation Costs

Once you have selected the right Ideal boiler for your home, you should get a number of quotes on the appliance and installation so that you can compare prices and find a competitive deal. Installation costs vary quite a bit, but you should be able to save money by shopping around. If you haven’t the time to do this, feel free to use our free online service to receive no-obligation quotes from trusted suppliers and Gas Safe engineers.

Choose a Gas Safe Registered Engineer

Before agreeing to any work, always ensure you take the time to check the qualifications and safety record of your installation provider. All boiler engineers are required to be fully qualified and Gas Safe registered by law, and it’s down to you to find out this information. Simply ask to view your engineer’s Gas Safe ID card, which will display their registration status and the work that they are legally permitted to carry out. You can also head on over to the Gas Safe Register website to check if an engineer is qualified and registered.
