    Keston Combi Boilers

You can expect to pay anything between £1,195.64 and £1,303.70 for the Keston Combi Boiler, which includes VAT and excludes installation.

    Keston combi boiler

The Keston Combi is an energy efficient wall hung boiler that is available in two different outputs of 30kW and 35kW.

It measures just 700mm (H) x 395mm (W) x 278mm (D), which means this model is small enough to be sited almost anywhere in the home including inside a standard kitchen cupboard. As well as being compact, this model is a space-saving solution that does not require the use of a separate tank or cylinder.

Prices start from £1,195.64 and go up to around £1,303.70, and the boiler comes with a 5-year parts and labour warranty. However, you will be given a 7-year guarantee if the appliance is installed with a Keston filter and is registered within 30 days of installation. This upgrade offer is only available until the 31st December 2018.

    Boiler Energy Efficiency Credentials

One of the great things about the Keston Combi is that it’s a fully modulating boiler, meaning it can adjust its heat output without any human intervention. This also means that this appliance can improve boiler efficiencies and make your home more energy efficient. Plus, the boiler is SEDBUK A rated for both heating and hot water efficiency, making it an excellent choice if you want to save money on your fuel bills.

Keston Combi Technology and Main Advantages

This combination boiler by Keston is a user-friendly unit with a large backlit display and simple to understand controls. It comes complete with a weather compensator to ensure your house remains at the right temperature, regardless of outside weather conditions.

The range includes two output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:

    • Keston 30kW Combi – 12.4 litres per minute
    • Keston 35kW Combi – 14.5 litres per minute

Keston has also included built-in frost protection to protect your boiler during the winter, as well as a 50mm muPVC solvent weld flue to give you more flexibility as to where the unit can be installed. The boiler can actually be located up to 27 metres away from the flue outlet because it connects to Kenston’s unique twin-flue system.

Other noteworthy features include onboard diagnostics, an automatic bypass, a pre-fitted filling loop and a visible pressure gauge.

Is the Keston Combi the Right Boiler Type and Size for Your Home?

Offering two outputs, Keston has designed this combi to be suitable for most medium and large properties. And don’t forget, you won’t need a cold water storage tank or hot water storage cylinder so it’s also a great option for homes where loft and storage space is limited. If you have several bathrooms and a higher demand for heating and hot water, you’re likely to need the 35kW unit. But if your house (or flat) has only 1 or 2 bathrooms, the 30kW is more ideal. As every home is unique, you will need to ask a Gas Safe engineer to assess your requirements before purchasing this model.

Our Honest Opinion of the Keston Combi

The Keston Combi is a powerful appliance that is far more energy efficient than older boiler models because it reuses heat that would otherwise be wasted. It’s also easy to use and offers pretty much everything you would expect from a modern combination boiler.

Another plus point is that the boiler allows for simple and straightforward installation, so it shouldn’t take your installer long to get the boiler up and running. And because it can be linked to Keston’s special twin-flue system, it can be wall-mounted in a variety of locations including a kitchen cupboard, utility room and even in a basement or garage.

We do, however, need to make you aware that many owners said they have experienced various problems with their Keston boilers and the brand’s after-sales service. With this in mind, we suggest you do a little more research and consult with an engineer who has fitted and taken care of this model before parting with any cash.

Advice on Boiler Quotes and Gas Safe Engineers

If you have come to the decision that the Keston Combi is the right system for your home, we recommend you get a number of quotes on the boiler and installation. This way, you can compare prices and find the best deal available. You must also make sure your chosen installer is Gas Safe registered as this is now a legal requirement. To check the qualifications and registration status of an installation professional, either ask to view the details on their ID card or run a search at the official Gas Safe Register website. Alternatively, you can save time and get no-obligation quotes from suppliers and installers that are already registered by using our free online service.
