    Boiler Energy Efficiency Credentials

With its SEDBUK A rating of 89%, you can be confident that the Unica i is an advanced energy efficient boiler. Plus, this combi is Energy Saving Trust recommended and can reduce running costs by as much as 35%. It is also compatible with optional Vokera energy saving controls that help to make the boiler up to 98% efficient and, as a result, can save you over £60 a year on fuel bills. Not forgetting the extremely high modulation ratio which reduces wasted energy by enabling the boiler to lower its output in line with the demand in your home.

Unica i Technology and Main Advantages

This high-performance combi gas boiler from Vokera features an easy to operate LCD display and control panel, enabling heating and hot water temperatures to be easily adjusted using the included temperature selectors. Vokera’s Unica i also has a pre-fixing jig and filling loop for hassle-free installation, along with a front mounted heat exchanger for quick and simple maintenance.

The range includes three output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:

    • Unica i 28 – 11.5 litres per minute
    • Unica i 32 – 13.1 litres per minute
    • Unica i 36 – 14.7 litres per minute

Although a top flue is supplied as standard, a rear flue option is available, with flexible and versatile fluing up to 40m. The Unica i combi boiler has built-in frost protection, as well as an autostop disabling function that will change the operating mode into standby in order to help landlords keep up with their yearly gas safety check.

Then there is the 10:1 modulation ratio which reduces its output in line with end-user demand. For example, if you require only 5kW, the boiler will modulate itself down to just 5kW. And thanks to its advanced technology and ‘Plug & Play’ connection, the Unica i can connect to the Vokera OpenTherm control to help slash your fuels bills and give you complete control over temperatures.

Is the Vokera Unica i the Right Boiler Type and Size for Your Home?

The Vokera Unica i range is designed to suit various property types that are either medium or large in size, hence why there are three different outputs available. Let’s start with the Unica i 28kW and 32kW models. Both are suitable for a medium to large home with up to 15 radiators, 1 bathroom and an additional ensuite. To work out which size is best for your home, you will need to ask a Gas Safe engineer to assess your heating and hot water usage habits.

Since the Unica i 36kW combi boiler has a higher output and flow rate, it should be ideal for a large house with up to 20 radiators and a maximum of 2 bathrooms. Once again, you should always ask a Gas Safe registered engineer to check how often you use your showers, baths and central heating to help you determine if this boiler can meet your needs.
