    Vokera Evolve Combi Boilers

A Vokera Evolve Combi Boiler will cost anything between £775 and £995 including VAT and excluding installation fees.

    Vokera Evolve Combi Boilers

Designed to be quick and easy for installers to fit, the Evolve Combi is a state-of-the-art condensing wall mounted boiler and Vokera’s best combi boiler to date.

It measures 740mm (H) x 420mm (W) x 350mm (D) and does not need a hot water cylinder or cold water tank to meet your heating and hot water demands. This appliance can also run on natural gas or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) without the need for an additional conversion kit.

Available in five outputs from 24kW to 42kW, this appliance is ideal for small, medium and large homes and typically costs between £775 and £995. It comes with a standard 7-year parts and labour warranty or a 10-year guarantee when installed with an optional BeSMART control.

    Boiler Energy Efficiency Credentials

The Vokera Evolve Combi is fully compliant with the ErP (Energy-related Products) Directive and has an official efficiency rating of 94%. This means that the boiler is an A rated unit, however, it has the potential to become an A+ appliance when you add an optional Vokera BeSmart internet-connected thermostat – which can improve heating efficiency by 4%. An efficiency indicator has also been included to display the current boiler efficiency status as being ‘High’ or ‘Optimal.’

Evolve Combi Technology and Main Advantages

This appliance by Vokera has an exceptional modulation ratio of 7:1 to maximise efficiency and comfort, as well as built-in frost protection to protect the boiler from cold weather damage. It also has an anti-seize function to stop the pump and motorised valve from sticking, along with ACC (active combustion control) which reduces emissions by adapting the mix of gas and air in line with gas quality.

The range includes five output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:

    • Evolve C 24kW Combi – 10.7 litres per minute
    • Evolve C 28kW Combi – 12.3 litres per minute
    • Evolve C 32kW Combi – 14.2 litres per minute
    • Evolve C 36kW Combi – 14.7 litres per minute
    • Evolve C 42kW Combi – 17.2 litres per minute

Vokera’s Evolve Combi is an installer-friendly boiler that is supplied with a pre-fixing jig with built-in filling loop, an embedded time clock, concealed service valves and pump kick function. And thanks to the built-in carbon monoxide monitor, the appliance shuts down if excess carbon monoxide is detected and will remain that way until an engineer has resolved the issue.

It is clear that the user has not been forgotten about either because the boiler has a REC10 liquid crystal clear display user interface with full text menu driven control, allowing you to quickly navigate through settings and program heating on and off times. In addition to this, the REC10 provides full diagnostics for your engineer.

Is the Vokera Evolve Combi the Right Boiler Type and Size for Your Home?

Offering class-leading hot water flow rates and a variety of outputs, the Evolve Combi is suitable for a variety of small, medium and even large properties. The lower output units of 24kW and 28kW are best for smaller homes, whereas the 32kW and 36kW versions are good options for medium-sized dwellings. The 42kW model is perfect for larger houses with multiple bathrooms and a higher demand for heating and hot water. Please remember, this information is only a rough guide, and you must always ask a Gas Safe engineer to help you determine which output and flow rate will satisfy the needs of your household.

Our Honest Opinion of the Vokera Evolve Combi

With its ability to provide comfort, efficiency and long-term performance, the Vokera Evolve Combi is a great contender for your small, medium or large home. Not only is it packed with cutting-edge features but it also helps to keep installation speedy and cost-effective – which is great news for both you and your installer.

This boiler is easy to control thanks to the user-friendly display, meaning you can adjust and manage your heating and hot water without any trouble. You can even opt for an optional intelligent thermostat to enhance levels of control and cut your energy bills by up to a whopping £200.

We really like the built-in carbon monoxide monitor that stops the boiler running when excess carbon monoxide is present because it helps to keep your family and home safe. And thanks to its compact dimensions, this boiler can be placed virtually anywhere in your house including in a standard kitchen cupboard.

While Vokera boilers have a below average rating on Which?, we think this system is better than any of the brand’s previous combi models, so we recommend you do a little more research and get a second opinion from a reputable boiler engineer.

Advice on Boiler Quotes and Gas Safe Engineers

When shopping around and getting Vokera Evolve Combi quotes, make sure you contact local and national installers and ask for a fixed price on the boiler and the fitting work. By doing so, you will find the best deals available and should avoid any hidden charges and extras fees. It’s also important to choose an engineer that is legally allowed to work on gas boilers, so be sure to check their Gas Safe ID card and registration details before agreeing to any work. Alternatively, you can head on over to the Gas Safe Register website to confirm their registration status.
