Promax Ultra Combi Technology and Main Advantages

As this model comes with flueing options up to 20 metres, it gives you flexibility in where the boiler can be installed. The Promax Ultra Combi also has a pre-plumbing jig, which helps to save both time and money on installation.

The range includes four output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:

    • Promax Ultra 24kW Combi – 9.8 litres per minute
    • Promax Ultra 28kW Combi – 11.5 litres per minute
    • Promax Ultra 33kW Combi – 13.5 litres per minute
    • Promax Ultra 40kW Combi – 16.4 litres per minute

Built-in frost protection is included to protect the appliance during the cold months of the year, and the boiler can run on natural gas or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) without the need for a special conversion kit.

This boiler is family friendly because it has concealed user controls, which helps to prevent children from touching control knobs and dials. There is also a clear LED display with fault diagnosis to allow you to see the temperature and status of the boiler at any given moment.

Is the Potterton Promax Ultra Combi the Right Boiler Type and Size for Your Home?

Potterton has designed this boiler to suit most property sizes, with options suitable for small, medium and large homes. Obviously, the 40kW model delivers the highest heating output and hot water flow rate, making it perfect for larger homes with greater usage habits. Having said that, the 33kW unit will be suitable for some large houses too. If you live in a small dwelling and have a lower demand for heating and hot water, the less powerful 24kW version will be ideal. And if your home is considered medium in size, the 28kW should be capable of meeting the needs of your household. As this is only a rough guide, you must ask a Gas Safe engineer to look at your home to help determine the right output and flow rate for you.
