vSMART Intelligent Room Control
When it comes to smart boiler controls, they don’t come much smarter than Vaillant’s vSMART Intelligent Room Control. It’s compatible with the ecoTEC boiler range and makes it possible for you to control your heating and hot water from an app. This means you can manage everything from your smartphone or tablet, as can all other members of your household because vSMART can be shared on several devices.
The vSMART is a ‘self-learning’ control that learns your hot water and central heating requirements, ensuring your boiler only ever uses energy when it’s needed. It features smart weather compensation and uses weather data so that it can tell your boiler how much energy it needs to use, and this control achieves this without needing to install a separate outside temperature sensor. vSMART also saves energy when you’re out of town and will make sure you always return home to a cosy house.
VRC 700 & 700f Weather Compensating Thermostats
The wired VRC 700 and wireless VRC 700f Weather Compensating Thermostats work with all current Vaillant boilers and can be controlled via an app so that you can manage your heating on the go. Built with a weather compensation feature, these controls will check outside conditions and ensure your boiler reaches the right temperature using the minimum energy to help save you money on your bills. They come with a range of great programmes including 7-day, 24-hour, weekday and weekend periods, as well as override functions that let you quickly boost heating and hot water when needed.
If you use renewable technologies or have multiple heating zones or underfloor heating, the VRC 700 might be the better of the two options as it’s compatible with Vaillant’s ambiSENSE smart thermostatic radiator valve that allows you to control individual room temperatures.
VRC 470f Wireless Weather Compensating Programmable Room Thermostat
Featuring intelligent time and temperature control for heating and hot water, the VRC 470f with weather compensation monitors the outside temperature in order to tell your Vaillant boiler how much energy it needs to use to keep your home comfortable and to ensure maximum boiler efficiency. It comes with a blue backlit display and simple rotary knob to make it easy for you to set different heating and hot water temperatures for different times of the day and week.
The VRC 470f also has a holiday function that reduces the temperature when you’re away and ensures you always return to a warm and cosy home. This control simply plus into the fascia of your boiler, which means there is no need for any wiring.
VRT 350f Wireless Room Thermostat
With the ability to closely monitor room temperatures, the VRT 350f is a clever control that automatically adjusts the set boiler temperature to help optimise performance, boost comfort and increase energy efficiency levels. It has two temperature settings including ‘desired’ and ‘set-back’ and lets you tune on and off times at different stages of a day, over a 7-day period or across weekdays and weekends. The VRT 350f also comes with a blue backlit display and cylinder boost option, as well as five operation modes, such as automatic, summer, comfort, set-back and system off.
VRT 15 Mechanical Room Thermostat
Compatible with Vaillant ecoTEC boilers, the VRT 15 is a straightforward room thermostat that is easy to use and enables you to control the room temperature in an efficient manner. To set and change the room temperature, you simply turn the dial to your desired temperature level. Also, the VRT 15 is compatible with the timeSWITCH 160 two-channel digital timer to improve boiler efficiency and maximise energy savings.
timeSWITCH 160 Digital Programmer
This control plugs directly into the front of your Vaillant boiler and has a timed programming function to give you complete control of your heating and hot water. It lets you set up to three programme times per day using the blue backlit display, rotary knob and two push buttons located on the front of the control. Suitable for use with all Vaillant ecoTEC boilers and the VRT 15 control, the timeSWITCH 160 also boasts a holiday function so that you can schedule your heating before you go away.
timeSWITCH 150 24-Hour Analogue Timer
One of Vaillant’s more basic controls, the timeSWITCH 150 is an easy-to-use timer that is meant for use with ecoTEC combi boilers and enables you to adjust central heating on and off times over a 24-hour period. There is no need for wiring because this control simply plugs into the boiler fascia, making installation super quick and easy. To improve heating performance and to enable you to control the boiler temperature from another room in your home, the timeSWITCH 150 can be used alongside the Vaillant VRT 50 Digital Room Thermostat.
VRT 50 Digital Room Thermostat
Another easy-to-use optional control by Vaillant is the VRT 50 Digital Room Thermostat that lets you see the current room temperature and allows you to adjust the temperature by simply turning the large control knob. It uses enhanced load compensation to reduce the boiler output and ensure your Vaillant boiler uses as little energy as possible, which helps to create a more comfortable environment and save you more money on those unwanted bills. The VRT 50 is designed to work with Vaillant ecoTEC combi boilers and the timeSWITCH 150 Analogue Timer.
