To purchase the Ideal Mexico HE Boiler, you will need to spend between £1,103.70 and £2,780.56 including VAT and excluding installation.
The Ideal Mexico HE is a floor-standing heat only boiler that’s available in 15kW, 18kW, 24kW, 30kW and 36kW outputs.
Although not the smallest at 850mm (H) x 450mm (W) x 530mm (D), it’s still considered compact for a boiler of its type. This model is suitable for homes looking to replace an existing floor-standing boiler or households in need of a greater heating output, as well as properties where a hot water cylinder and cold water storage tank are already installed.
Ideal Mexico HE prices start at £1,103.70 and go up to £2,780.56, and the amount you will need to pay will depend on which boiler output you choose. You’ll also get a standard 2-year parts and labour warranty with this unit provided you register it within 30 days of installation.
Boasting an excellent efficiency rating of 90.7%, the Ideal Mexico HE is an A-rated boiler that will help to reduce not only your fuel bills but also carbon dioxide emissions. It’s ErP compliant and recommended by the Energy Saving Trust as well.
This model by Ideal is designed to be easy to install, as well as quick to service and maintain. By having its own pre-piping frame, the boiler can be connected to power before being placed in its desired location within your home. It features excellent temperature control and diagnostics to ensure maintenance and servicing are always rapid and straightforward, meaning you’ll save money on engineer fees.
The Mexico HE has built-in frost protection to protect the boiler during the cold months of the year and to eliminate problems with freezing. In addition to this, the appliance comes complete with a digital display and simple controls to help you manage heating temperatures. Not only is it compatible with an optional remote user kit but the boiler can also be installed with an optional condensate pump kit to reduce the risk of condensation issues.
Ideal’s Mexico HE is a great choice for a variety of property types and sizes because it comes in a range of heating outputs. You will need to have a traditional heating system already in place, which basically means you require a hot water cylinder, cold storage tank and another separate tank that maintains the central heating water level. As a general guide, the lower output units will be suitable for smaller homes with lower heating and hot water demands and the higher outputs are best for larger properties with greater demands. However, it’s impossible to say which unit is most suitable for your home without assessing your environment and usage habits so you must contact a Gas Safe engineer who can help you pick the right boiler output.

We think the Ideal Mexico HE is a reasonably priced floor-standing boiler that will look smart alongside your other appliances, all thanks to its modern design and neat aluminium casing. Also, it seems quite easy to use and only requires minimal maintenance and servicing to keep it in tip-top condition.
Then there’s the fact that this attractive model is highly efficient and environmentally friendly, two things most people look for when replacing their boiler. You do, however, need to be aware that many homeowners have complained about reliability issues in the past – which isn’t great news especially since this boiler only comes with a 2-year warranty.
To be on the safe side and to ensure you make a sound decision, we recommend you do further research and get in touch with an engineer who works on this model regularly.
If you want to obtain Ideal Mexico HE Boiler quotes, make sure you get a price on both the appliance and installation work so you know how much your replacement is going to cost. You must also check if your chosen company or installer is listed on the Gas Safe Register before allowing them into your home, as this confirms that they are legally allowed to fit your new boiler. And just so you know, you can find competitive quotes from Gas Safe engineers using our free quotation service.
Dear Ideal
I require a new boiler to replace my Ideal E type 105 which has performed faultlessly since 1977 but it now needs a new thermostat which is completely unobtainable.
This boiler is not a combi, it feeds a hot water cylinder with a cylinder thermostat and motorised valve for control.
Please advise for replacement
Many thanks your assitance
