The Glow-Worm Ultimate3 Combi is a user-friendly wall mounted combination boiler that does not require a cold water tank or hot water cylinder.
It measures 740mm (H) x 418mm (W) x 300mm (D) and is suitable for medium to large homes and properties where there is little or no loft space. This particular model features high hot water flow rates and is available in two different outputs of 30kW and 35kW.
As there is a choice of outputs on offer, Ultimate3 Combi prices vary from around £694.40 to £774.00. The boiler comes with a 5-year parts and labour warranty provided the boiler is fitted by a Gas Safe installer and the installation is registered on Glow-Worm’s Club Energy programme.
With a seasonal efficiency rating of just under 90%, the Ultimate3 Combi is ErP A rated for heating and DHW (domestic hot water) efficiency. The unit has its own Grundfos modulating pump, which helps to reduce energy use and lower the cost of your fuel bills. This attractive boiler is also compatible with Glow-Worm’s full range of optional controls, meaning you can pay a little extra on some smart accessories to improve not only efficiency but also performance and comfort levels.
Glow-Worm’s Ultimate3 Combi has an energy-saving Grundfos pump, as well as a high-quality automotive grade aluminium heat exchanger to provide exceptional performance. By being compact and lightweight, the boiler is quicker and easier to install so you could save money on installation fees. It also has an inbuilt filling loop for simple maintenance.
The range includes two output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:
Other key features include a modern interface with clear LCD display to enable you to have complete control over settings and temperatures. The boiler can even be used with Glow-Worm’s innovative MiGo app-based control which allows you to control your heating and hot water using a smartphone or tablet.
Since the Ultimate3 Combi comes in two outputs with different flow rates, there is an option to suit a variety of property types and sizes. As a rough guide, the 30kW unit is suitable for a medium to large home with 1 bathroom, 1 ensuite and up to 15 radiators, and the 35kW model is ideal for a large dwelling with 2 bathrooms and around 20 radiators. Remember, the boiler heats water directly from the mains so you won’t need a cold water tank or hot water cylinder with this one. As we always say, it’s crucial for your new boiler to meet your needs, so you must contact a Gas Safe engineer to help you determine the right output for you home.

Perhaps one of the most impressive things about this model is that you use it with Glow-Worm’s MiGo control to give you more control over the boiler, even when you’re not at home. However, this control isn’t supplied with the unit, but it can be purchased separately.
