The Ferroli i Combi is a budget-friendly wall mounted condensing combination boiler that can provide you with instant heat and hot water without the use of a cold water tank or hot water cylinder.
It has compact dimensions that measure 680mm (H) x 400mm (W) x 330mm (D) and is available in two outputs including 25kW and 29kW. This boiler is ideal for combining with traditional high temperature systems and cannot be installed with direct delivery to low temperature radiant panel systems.
Suitable for small and medium-sized properties, the Ferroli i Combi comes with a 2-year warranty as standard and typically costs between £429 and 479, depending on which output level you need.
Boasting an efficiency rating of 92%, the i25 and i29 Combi are A rated for both heat and water. Both models feature an ErP (Energy-related Products) compliant pump, which helps to improve efficiency. The boilers can also be installed with a wide selection of optional accessories, such as digital timers, mechanical timers and a wireless remote thermostat to maximise efficiency.
Compact and lightweight, the Ferroli i Combi boilers feature a smart control panel with backlit display and push-button controls so that you can easily adjust central heating and hot water temperatures. By being so user-friendly, you can also monitor the operating status and switch the generator and comfort function on and off as and when you wish.
The Ferroli i Combi range comes with a preheat hot water facility so that the boilers can always provide a rapid supply of hot water, along with a summer and winter mode so that temperatures can be adjusted in accordance to weather conditions. Furthermore, this boiler has an ECO/COMFORT mode that ensures a high domestic hot water delivery speed and maximises end-user comfort.
There’s also the high-efficiency pump we mentioned earlier, and the boiler can be supplied as a natural gas unit or LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) appliance.
The i25 Combi is ideal for an apartment or small house with 1 bathroom and around 10 radiators, and the i29 is suitable for a medium property with 1 bathroom, 1 ensuite and up to 15 radiators. Since these models are combis with fairly low outputs, they may struggle to cope with two showers running at the same time. To ensure you choose the right boiler, always ask a Gas Safe engineer to assess your home, as well as your heating and hot water usage habits.v

Ferroli’s i Combi is not only an affordable boiler but it’s also easy to fit, service and maintain, which means you can save money on installation and future engineer appointments. By being so compact and capable of providing you with heat and hot water all by itself, this appliance is a great option for apartments and houses where space is limited and a tank and cylinder are not currently installed.
We really like the straightforward push-button controls and smart display, making the boiler ideal if you’re not confident about using a complicated, ultra-modern control panel. However, we are aware that many homeowners have complained about unreliability and performance, as well as Ferroli’s poor level of customer service.
If you’re seriously thinking about investing in this boiler, we recommend you look at customer reviews and get professional advice from an engineer who has experience in fitting and maintaining this model.
