Biasi’s Advance System is a wall mounted boiler that has been designed to replace the popular Riva Plus model.
It’s quite a small unit with compact dimensions that measure just 700mm (H) x 400mm (W) x 290mm (D), meaning it can be kept in a cupboard or most other tight spaces. Although you won’t need a feed and expansion tank in the loft, this boiler must be installed with an unvented storage cylinder so that a good supply of hot water can be provided.
Available in two different outputs of 25kW and 30kW, the Advance System comes with a standard 5-year parts and labour warranty and typically costs between £480.00 and £550.00.
The Biasi Advance System has an impressive 92% efficiency rating, which has helped to make it a SEDBUK A rated boiler. It is a highly efficient appliance straight out of the box, however, efficiency can be improved with an array of optional extras and controls. For example, if you buy an outside temperature probe, the boiler will automatically adjust the heating system and circuit water temperature in response to changes in outside temperatures. As a result, you will reduce the amount of energy you waste and save money on your fuel bills.
This user-friendly model has a clear LCD display and simple up and down buttons to enable you to control your heating temperature day and night. It also includes both summer and winter on/off functions to ensure you feel comfortable in your home all year round. Plus, the Advance System comes with built-in weather compensation which helps to enhance your comfort as well.
Another useful feature is the high-grade stainless steel single coil heat exchanger. The single coil oval section of the heat exchanger is rather clever because it enables the system water to flow freely and helps to prevent dirt and debris from accumulating. Frost protection is also included to stop the boiler from freezing during periods of cold weather, as is a visible pressure gauge and a built-in component anti-seizure routine.
You can purchase the Biasi Advance System in an output of 25kW or 30kW, and the output you’ll need will depend on a number of things. This is why you must ask a Gas Safe engineer to assess your home, along with your heating and hot water usage habits before parting with any cash. As a rough guide, the 25kW unit is ideal if you have a smaller home with a lower demand for heating and hot water, and the 30kW version is best for larger dwellings with higher demands. The boiler is also suitable for properties where a hot water cylinder is already in place.

We think the Biasi Advance System is a decent little boiler that is worth considering if you are on a tight budget and want to replace an existing system boiler. This appliance is incredibly easy to use and it shouldn’t take your engineer too long to install it as most of the components are built into the unit itself. The boiler also uses fuel-efficient condensing technology to save energy and make your home more energy efficient. Of course, this means it will save you money too.
You might be interested to know that Biasi has a pretty good reputation for manufacturing quality boilers to suit a variety of property sizes.
