The Advance Combi by Biasi is a compact yet powerful wall hung gas combination boiler which measures 700mm (H) x 400mm (W) x 290mm (D).
It can deliver up to 13.3 litres of instantaneous hot water per minute and is available in three outputs of 25kW, 30kW and 35kW. What’s more, this model doesn’t require an unsightly cylinder or tank to provide you with heating and hot water because it is fed directly from the mains water supply.
Ideal for flats, bungalows and houses of all sizes, the Biasi Advance Combi comes with a full 5-year parts and labour warranty and will set you back anything between £579.00 and £673.50.
With an efficiency rating of 92%, the Advance Combi is a highly efficient boiler that is A-rated by SEDBUK. If you purchase an inexpensive temperature probe, the built-in weather compensation will allow the boiler to automatically adjust when the outside temperature changes. This means the appliance can save you money when less power is required. You also have the choice of a wide range of optional Biasi controls, all of which have been designed to improve comfort and reduce your heating bills.
Designed with efficiency and reliability in mind, this model has a high-grade stainless steel single coil heat exchanger that enables the system water to flow freely and prevent the build-up of dirt and debris. In addition to this, the Advance Combi comes with a visible pressure gauge to make it easy for you to keep an eye on the boiler pressure.
The range includes three output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:
As the Advance Combi features simple to use controls, an optional switchable mechanical clock and smart LCD display, you won’t have any trouble operating the unit. Plus, it has separate winter and summer on/off functions to ensure your home is always comfortable, whatever the weather. The boiler also has weather compensation and can be controlled with a Biasi Stat self learning load compensating thermostat which reacts to your needs and acts accordingly.
This compact model is perfect for smaller flats and houses or larger properties where there is little or no loft space as you don’t need a cold water storage tank or hot water cylinder. Nonetheless, you must ask a Gas Safe engineer to assess your home as well as your heating and hot water usage habits to help you determine the right output and flow rate for your needs. As a rough guide, the 25kW unit is suitable for a small property with 1 bathroom, the 30kW version is ideal for a medium-sized home with 1 bathroom and an ensuite, and the 35kW Advance Combi is best for a large dwelling with no more than 2 bathrooms. Just be aware that combination boilers can struggle to cope with two showers or baths running at the same time.

The Biasi Advance Combi with electronic ignition is a very affordable boiler that is not only straightforward to install but also easy to use. As both the control panel and pressure gauge are featured on the front face of the unit, you can reach the buttons, read the display and check the pressure all at the same time.
We’re glad to see that Biasi has included weather compensation to allow the boiler to instinctively reduce or increase its output in line with the outside temperature but it does require a temperature probe – and you’ll need to pay extra for this.
While many homeowners and engineers have said the boiler is reliable and equipped with a great control system that offers high levels of safety, comfort and energy savings, others are less than impressed with this model and have complained about Biasi’s customer service.
