The Alpha Evoke Combi is a condensing wall mounted combination boiler that is extremely compact and affordable.
As it measures in at just 712mm (H) x 440mm (W) x 255mm (D), this model can easily fit in a standard-sized kitchen cupboard or another tight area of the home. The boiler can be purchased in two different outputs of 28kW and 33kW, making it the ideal solution for small to medium properties with one bathroom. It’s also a space-saving boiler that does not need a separate tank or cylinder because it heats water straight from the mains.
Evoke Combi prices typically start at £625.00 and go up to £655.00, dependant on which output is needed. The boiler is covered by a standard 5-year warranty, provided you register the appliance with Alpha and have it serviced annually.
This small combi boiler comes with an energy efficiency rating of 93%, meaning it’s A rated and ErP compliant. The Alpha Evoke Combi has a reliable Grundfos pump that offers unsurpassed efficiency and helps to reduce boiler run time and lower your fuel bills. Although a low electrical consumption combi as it comes, the boiler can also be used with optional energy-saving controls, such as a GasSaver unit, Climatic control or weather compensation probe.
One of the newest and smallest additions to Alpha’s combination boiler range, the Evoke Combi can be sited virtually anywhere in the home without taking up too much precious living space. It comes with a selection of push-button controls and a clear backlit LCD display to allow you to have complete control over settings and temperatures. This control panel also provides detailed operational information to make life easy for both you and your engineer.
The range includes two output sizes with different maximum hot water flow rates, which are as follows:
Alpha’s Evoke features a new stainless steel heat exchanger, as well as a Grundfos pump with hydroblock assembly to improve efficiency and performance levels. It also has frost protection, a one-piece cartridge diverter valve and combined condensate and pressure relief valve connection. What’s more, the boiler components can be accessed via the front of the unit to keep servicing and maintenance quick and straightforward.
With two outputs available, the Alpha Evoke Combi is designed for small and medium-sized homes that don’t have the highest hot water demands. Since no bulky tanks or cylinders are needed, the boiler is also suitable for apartments and houses with limited loft and storage space. The 28kW unit is designed for smaller properties and the 33kW model is ideal for medium dwellings with slightly greater needs. We should also mention that this combi is likely to struggle to cope with two showers or baths running at the same time, making it best suited to one bathroom homes. As we always say, it’s important to get in touch with a Gas Safe engineer who can advise you on which boiler model and size is needed to satisfy the requirements of your household.

The Alpha Evoke Combi appears to be a solid little performer that will heat your radiators and provide plenty of hot water, regardless of whether you live in a flat or small to medium-sized house. As it’s over 90% efficient, you’ll be able to lower your carbon footprint and save quite a bit of money on your energy bills as well. Not only that, but it’s one of the most reasonably priced combination boilers on the market with a lengthy warranty.
Whilst this all sounds good so far, we should make you aware that the Evoke Combi isn’t the quietest of boilers, with some homeowners saying that it can be noisy at times. However, others have said that the boiler is reliable and a good budget solution.

I have a BTL company and have installed two Alpha so far, both of them are okay and without any problems are working.
